Cultural Collage

Led by Professor Marie O'Mahony, the project works with designers and design students working around the central themes of recycling, multi-disciplinary practice and cultural collaboration. The designers are each working on a second-hand plastic object to be sent to three different countries by three different designers to be worked on or transformed, while maintaining its functionality.

Interactivation Studio

The Interactivation Studio is used to research the interaction between people and technology. It develops Human-Computer interfaces for expression and performance, instruments, and interactive environments.

Each year the students from Industrial Design showcase their final-year projects to visitors from industry, educational institutes, staff, alumni, family and friends. The design works exhibited represent the future of design and are displayed through the use of mixed media and prototypes.
