Prof Peter McNeil from the School of Design has a long engagement with Australian interior design history, particularly domestic and retail environments. He is currently researching a three-part series on the homes and ateliers of couturiers c.1860-2000 for Acanthus Press.

Dr Vicki Karaminas from the School of Design researches the imagination of the interior and interior lives in fiction, and is interested in the imaginative conjunction of interior and urban environments as well as the gendered construction of space.
