The Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building has developed a supporting scheme to further our research strengths by offering two types of Scholarship. These scholarships are tied to active researchers and linked to already existing specialisations, and are open to local students who are commencing a PhD.
DAB Scholarship
Awarded to eligible students, not in receipt of any other award, to work full-time on a PhD in one of the research areas listed below. The student/s will receive $18,500 a year for three years.
Top Up Scholarship
Awarded to students who have been awarded an APA in one of the research areas listed below. The amount of the award will be $10,000 a year for a 3-year period.
- Critical and experimental design practices, theory and criticism
- Design expertise and new design practices
- Transfer of techniques and technologies in architectural design and production
- Interactivation: Electronic Ecology
- Design and Social Innovation
- Fashion and Identity
- Interior Life
- Architectural Criticism and new Histories
- The Digital Built Environment
- Property Rights
- Housing Affordability
