The UTS Master of Design is a studio-based program centred on emerging practices, experimentation and collaboration.
The UTS Master of Design is a unique degree within Australia, which draws on successful international models of high-level postgraduate education.
The Master of Design is an 18 month (3 semester) full-time course, with a 72 credit point (cp) loading. The program is run with a focus on specialist studios which students follow throughout their course. The studios expose students to a specialist design practice that may explore methods for practice, new technologies and or industry connections.
The core subjects are designed to complement and support the studio subjects by bringing students from the various students together to promote collaboration, and from Spring 2012 students will be able to select from a range of faculty and cross-faculty options to complement their area of specialisation.
Through an active dialogue with our industry partners and the offering of relevant, flexible and innovative educational programs, we are generating a vibrant design community centred around the school.
Qualities of openness, flexibility and diversity define our networked design culture centred at the UTS: School of Design, of which I invite you to become an active member.
