Diverse students, richer experiences
At DAB we have three distinct yet related schools in the same building, so staff and students can meet and socialise with people studying another discipline. Our courses also attract students from many different countries and from a broad range of backgrounds and disciplines, including graduates from law and business schools.
The course structures at DAB allow students from one School to take elective subjects from courses offered in the other two Schools. This arrangement provides the opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge and have access to a range of skills and perspectives. In this way, for example, an interior design graduate may have greater employability through the completion of some architecture subjects.
All members of the Faculty enjoy the end of year design and architecture shows, and an expansive range of clubs, sports and recreation facilities is on offer by the UTS Union. We also enjoy the hospitality of the DAB Café in the courtyard of our Faculty building, and the local restaurants, bars and hotels in our central location. And both local and international students have a great time socialising through Faculty-wide programs for international students.
