The undergraduate courses at UTS: DAB have a long-standing reputation for quality, excellence, a dynamic combination of disciplinary and professional education...and high UAI entry scores.
We recognise however, that sometimes circumstances beyond your control can have a serious impact on your studies, leading to a UAI that might not be what you need to get you into the degree of your choice. So what can you do? Take a look at some of the educational access and special admission schemes below.
The InpUTS Scheme
If you're interested in attending university and your education has been disadvantaged over a long time by circumstances beyond your control, you may apply for the InpUTS Scheme. The scheme is open to both recent school leavers and mature age/non-recent school leavers.
InpUTS allows students who can demonstrate that they have experienced more than one type of disadvantage in Years 11 and/or 12 (or equivalent), entry into courses with up to 7 points below the UAI cut-off for that course.
There are conditions of eligibility to apply. Find out more at the InpUTS Scheme homepage.
How do I apply for InpUTS?
You must apply for the InpUTS Scheme through the
Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). Contact UAC
for a copy of the Educational Access Schemes Booklet (pdf).
You need only apply once for the InpUTS Scheme. UAC will send your application to UTS who will assess it and decide whether you qualify for the normal 3-7 point scheme or the Faculty-specific 10-point scheme.
