Howtoapply
Undergraduate Courses
All DAB Undergraduate courses commence in the Autumn semester (March).
Local Applicants - Current School Leavers
Your application is based on your UAI score alone. If you are sitting for an Australian Year 12 examination, you must apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). On-time applications close at the end of September.
Please also refer to the Current School Leaver Guaranteed Entry Scheme for domestic fee-paying places. The Guaranteed Entry Scheme only applies to current school leaver applicants.
Local Applicants - Mature age/non-current school leavers
You must apply though UAC, and on-time applications close at the end of September.
Admission to Construction or Property Economics degrees is based on formal academic qualifications. However, we may consider applications based on the results of a STAT test if you lack academic qualifications but have extensive professional experience. The STAT test is conducted through UAC.
If you are intending to apply for the Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, you must apply through UAC by the first closing date for on-time applications, usually at the end of September.
If you are intending to apply for Fashion and Textile Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design or Visual Communications you must apply through UAC by the first closing date for on-time applications, usually at the end of September. You must also submit a personal statement at the same time. Submit your personal statement online through the UTS website.
You must also be interviewed, where you will need to show your portfolio of five pieces of work. (Visual Communication applicants need to show a portfolio of ten pieces of work).
Selection for an interview will be based on your personal statement, and the success of your application will be based on the results of your academic qualifications and the interview.
