Conference feedback from participants

Many thanks, for the wonderful conference this weekend. I thought it was beautifully organised and I had a really relaxing (funnily enough) time.
Alistair Rolls, University of Newcastle

Just a note to congratulate you on such a great conference. Wish I'd been able to go to all of it, but the keynotes were fantastic and the other parts of the program I attended all did something good with the topic. Refreshing to go to a conference that is so pleasure bound!
Jane Goodall, University of Western Sydney

Thanks so much for organising a great conference last weekend. It was very interesting and worthwhile.
Dr Elaine Webster, University of Otago

First of all I must congratulate you on the conference - it was really very interesting, with some excellent papers, and it was efficiently organized and ran smoothly - so well done! Warmest wishes.
Liz Mason, University College for the Creative Arts at Epsom, Surrey, UK

I have to tell you what a great experience the whole weekend was. It was so stimulating to learn about things as broad as the myth of red shoes, the significance of wedding dresses at lesbian marriages, Jane Eyre's dress, Japanese Lolita fashion, and Adele Varcoe's interesting project. I was also inspired to look further into the work of Andrea Zittel.
Amelia Groom, University of Technology, Sydney

The conference at UTS has been qute an enlightening experience for me, I am grateful for that.
Wing-sun, University of Hong Kong

It was great to meet you and I'm still rapt about the crime fiction section. I thought it was one of the most interesting sessions particularly because of the way the three papers sat together. And I've decided that in the context of things, I now see Alexander McQueen as a crime fiction writer. It's given me an entirely new perspective. Thanks!
Paola di Rocchio, National Gallery, Melbourne

Thanks so much for organising a great conference. It was very interesting and worthwhile.
Dr Elaine Webster, University of Ottago

I have just returned to the UK after my stay in Australia, and wanted to say thank you, again, for such a stimulating conference. I really enjoyed my few days at the University of Technology - and in particular, the variety and scope of the papers. It has certainly given me food for thought in terms of future research!
Rosy Aindow, University of Nottingham, UK

I just wanted to send you all a quick note to say thanks so much for a really very interesting conference. I was delighted to present my paper on dress choice in lesbian civil partnerships in the UK, and am now working up the paper to a full chapter in my forthcoming book Fabrics of Desire (Berg, 2008). Conferences provide an invaluable means by which to move research onwards, and it was a good chance to do this for my current project.
