Welcome to the Australasian Universities Building Educators Association (AUBEA) Conference to be held at the University of Technology Sydney on 12-14 July 2006. The School of the Built Environment will host the 31st Annual Conference. With a general conference theme of "Building in Value" day one will have a teaching focus, day two an industry focus and day three a research focus. Eighty full papers are expecting to be presented during the conference.

The opening keynote speaker will be Dr Jim Ernzen, Director of the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University in Phoenix, sponsored by RICS.

Turner & Townsend Rawlinsons are sponsoring awards for Best Paper in the conference and Best Student Paper.

Sponsored registration has been awarded to Dr Rufus Ogunsemi from Nigeria and Afroza Parvin from Bangladesh.

AUBEA Council will meet on the Friday morning.
