Aboutarchitecture
The School of Architecture leads and provokes the development of the architectural profession through:
- Research and education focused on an expanded practice of architecture and innovative architectural design
- Generating critical and ethical awareness of architecture ad a discipline that engages contemporary technologies in contested social contexts
- International recognition as a centre for architectural design and culture
The School offers undergraduate courses which are taught through a 'learning through making' approach. Studio activities comprise a majority of the core subjects, while flexible enrolment provide pathways for part-time students.
We also offer postgraduate coursework and research degrees. Through our Architecture research, we educate professionals who lead the profession in architectural design and technology practice.
The School is closely engaged with industry and professional bodies through teaching activities, curriculum development, research collaborations and advocacy for the built environment.
The School is led by the Head of School, A/Prof Sandra Kaji-O'Grady.
